IT is known as aseroe rubra. It's not from outer space.

IT'S BACK!!

I don't know what this is but its back. 3 years in a row this alien looking thing has popped up in the mulch in a garden at work. If you know what it is, let me know. It smells like rotting flesh and we think it carnivorous, seems to attract a lot flies.

Wagyu Steak

Jane went out for dinner last night so I thoughtI would try Wagyu beef. A marbled steak, grain fed. Very nice.

Gunfight at Mescalito

This is a very old photo. Taken about 1971 of a film I was in called the "The Wanted Man". It was made by a pommy uni student at the University of Arizona. Mescal is south east of Tucson Arizona. I have been told it was part of the film set for the "Life and times of Judge Roy Bean'. Anyway we had fun making the movie. I also won the gun fight. I am the one with my back to you and the loser is good friend Kim Scott.

Narrabeen Bushfire

Here is photo taken last night by a local, of the bushfire up the road from us. Allegedly someone wanted to burn some leaves and stuff and it got away from them and set the bush on fire. We hope it doesn't jump the lake or road because it is about 5kms away.

Saturday Night BBQ

BBQ steak, pork snags, 2 bean salad, rocket salad, sweet potato and fruit salad. Last night was dinner with the Stylers. Liz, Nick and Chris were here for a long night of food, music, red wine, beer and lots of talking. A good night was had by all.

Winners are Grinners

The Brisbane Broncos did it last night. They won the Grand Final 15-8 over the Melbourne Storm. The first Grand final to not have a Sydney team playing.

Water Lily's Bloom

Notice the fish in upper part of the photo.



The water lily's have started to bloom. The first one opened on Saturday The other one will open this week and a third one is still below water level. The hanging cactus plant Has started flowering as well
