NEW COMPOST PIT

The old compost pit was getting out of control, so Jane and I moved it to higher ground and a new design. It is built out of all recycled materials. The upright post are made from an old Hills Hoist and the walls from our old fence palings. The compost in the new ones is from the old pit reduced by about 50% after jumping up and down on it to reduce the bulk.

DYLAN MAKES IT ON BLUEBIRDS

Dylan O'Leary finally make his first appearance on "BLUEBIRDS" with his mate Alexander. This photo was taken over Christmas and really a before and after photo of his bedroom. I don't think any explanation is necessary.

Weightless Sabrina

I made Sabrina float the other day by rubbing her with a balloon. She floated up to the ceiling as you can see in the photo.

Death in the family

It is with great sadness that I have to report WEBER died last week.Aged 16 years. As I was getting ready to BBQ and brought him out of his dry home, the right wheel fell off and pushed a hole thru his base. Result, end of BBQ'D pork chops and sweet potatoes for dinner that night. He has been replaced with a newer model and we are BBQing again.

The New Pergola or Ramada

It's been a while since I've posted anything. But the wait is over now. I have started to rebuild the old falling down pergola (Ramada). We had a quote for about $1500.00 from a carpenter, so I thought I could do it myself for a lot less. So far the cost has been $81.00 and all thats left to do is put the laserlight top on about a cost of about $150.00. Boy I am clever!!

SUNDAY WITH THE STYLERS

Sunday afternoon was spent with the Stylers for lunch. Nick, Lis, Chris and Nicks parents visiting from the UK came. We had nibbles, cold meat, salads and Janes famous BANANA cake. There was a great deal of talking and laughing. A wonderful day was had by all. We may even have a new guitar virtuoso with Chris taking to the old Fender like a seasoned master.

Well EC came back to Sydney. First time in about 20 years, from what I have heard it was a great show. The $300.00 it would of cost me for Jane and I, we missed him. I have seen him play 3 times before and all shows were superb. Maybe next time.

Have missed a bit of posting. Jane and I went to Palm Beach, Queensland For Christmas. We stayed with her sister Liz and family. Then Back to Sydney and work again. The bushfires are back as well. I turned 55 as well on the 21st of January. More posts as soon as I can catch up on other things.

ROCHE 2006 CHRISTMAS PARTY

Hello people, This could be the last Christmas Party for the Production Department. But it was an Astral Day. The theme was "Star Wars". A lot people dressed up to the the theme as well as Marvin the Martian, Dr. Who ,space villians and who knows what else lives out there, but they were all there. It was held at Home Nightclub at Cockle Bay, one of the top 10 clubs in the world. Lots of food and drinks. And we all had a great time.

Roche Production BBQ

December 8th was the Production BBQ. It was held at the Long Reef Golf Club. About 50 people were there and a great time was had by all.

Roche AIDS Day Walk

First post for a while. On December 1st fifteen of us from the production department walked for 1 hour to raise money for AIDS research and world assistance. We walked around Cromer Football Park for an hour and then went back to work after well deserved breakfast. We raised about $400.00.

MELBOURNE CUP

Well the Melbourne Cup is over and this the third time I've done this one. My sidebar disappeared so I will try again. DELTA BLUES won the race, an 18-1 shot. Guess who backed him. Japanese horse as well. The Race has prize money of $5,000,000.00, thats a lot of dough!!

IT is known as aseroe rubra. It's not from outer space.

IT'S BACK!!

I don't know what this is but its back. 3 years in a row this alien looking thing has popped up in the mulch in a garden at work. If you know what it is, let me know. It smells like rotting flesh and we think it carnivorous, seems to attract a lot flies.

Wagyu Steak

Jane went out for dinner last night so I thoughtI would try Wagyu beef. A marbled steak, grain fed. Very nice.
